At least I already know what my goal for next weekend will be :)Sara Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06058056977783867772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4558351056749386610.post-17799280951374977602013-03-17T21:59:10.434-04:002013-03-17T21:59:10.434-04:00This is an excellent, manageable list. Neal wandered onto Strawberry Street over the weekend (which, for the record, is my absolute favorite new spot) and there was a large school with a fabulous playground and a raised bed vegetable garden in the back. Each grade had their own bed and they were all growing green cabbage. So I figure if a 5th grader can do it, we'll tackle it when we get to our new home. Lily ponds are so beyond my ability though!Allysonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05536029582533052135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4558351056749386610.post-63117864249553730622013-03-17T18:50:48.785-04:002013-03-17T18:50:48.785-04:00It IS quite a pile. Here in the desert stuff does not decompose readily unless you really keep it moist, so it's mostly a junk pile which eventually does go back into soil after years and a couple of turns with John Deere.

My main "compost pile" are the hens who get anything green from the garden and other scraps from the kitchen.Annekehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03489436512277337741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4558351056749386610.post-53637892992819727292013-03-17T16:32:40.468-04:002013-03-17T16:32:40.468-04:00Wow! that must be some pile! I usually take the easy way out.

Terrible day!webbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15168174623602308906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4558351056749386610.post-7338670058974777312013-03-17T15:34:07.974-04:002013-03-17T15:34:07.974-04:00Those are projects indeed! The garden gives you the satisfaction that a "real job" never gives you (or at least it did not to me). We had "expectations" that were to be met, attainable or not. Oh happy "retirement"!

BTW, my compost pile gets turned by tractor :-)Annekehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03489436512277337741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4558351056749386610.post-74409519953652807302013-03-17T13:19:00.974-04:002013-03-17T13:19:00.974-04:00Many a week my work goal is to make it through the...Many a week my work goal is to make it through the week. I should probably work on that one of these days. I do have several gardening goals the first being healing the tendonitis in my elbow, so I can garden. I am getting nervous. Glad to see green grass. The weather here in Wisconsin is still pretty dismal.Savvyworkinggalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08159197609419858161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4558351056749386610.post-59542202407611368352013-03-17T08:53:11.923-04:002013-03-17T08:53:11.923-04:00Well yours appears slightly daunting, but once you...Well yours appears slightly daunting, but once you get going the time just flies.

Repeat that to yourself.

So disappointed today is so blah, need a little sun and some determination to start my next job: cut down all the liriope:yuck.

Takes forever. But it works for days when it's too wet or too cold to dig in the dirt.webbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15168174623602308906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4558351056749386610.post-88178211234938029412013-03-16T21:38:11.014-04:002013-03-16T21:38:11.014-04:00Goals are good.
