Didn't make quite the progress that I had hoped on weight loss, but it was a wonderful year for exercise. Friday I attended my 200th Jazzercise class! Had set a goal of 150 classes for the year and just blew that out of the water! Clearly regular exercise has become part of my life, now I need to work on fewer (and healthier) snacks.

Tackling the weight loss thing is at the top of my list. I shall set a new goal of losing the rest of the weight by [drumroll here, please] 12-12-12! It's hokey, but we all know the value of goals. Logging exercise and food and continuing to dance regularly are important here.
We shall finish putting our financial house in order so that I can retire someday.
I will make more time to enjoy the garden, especially the cutting garden. And, most importantly, I will build the raised bed for sweet peas by February 15th!
Today's the day for appreciating those who support us:

For 2012 my resolution is to try to give you the support you give me. You know who you are! Huge, enormous hugs all around!

Happy New Year Webb, hope 2012 is a brilliant one for you. Glad Mitchell's tests were good, I somehow missed you had been going through that. You two seem a fantastic team.
ReplyDelete200 dance classes!! So impressive, I need some of your determinaton if I am to meet my goals this year. All the very best, Belinda xx
A very Happy New Year to you. Such good news about the zero number! I love your great attitude about the new year! xo
ReplyDeleteWe have an uneven relationship...you are always giving me more than I can give back and for that I am eternally and relentlessly grateful. The days are busy and the list is long but you always find time to pop over. I pledge, in 2012, to return the favor more often!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the plants and blooms that 2012 brings. We just had another bush bloom last week and it's such an alarming experience for us to have something BLOOM in December! The joys of Georgia. Looks like we'll be moved up your way by the first part of 2013 so we will definitely make time to meet up!
It is a great day to pause and reflect, and set new goals. Life would be meaningless without them :). I applaud your 12-12-12 goal, and I don't find it hokey at all. Keep up the exercise! For you physical and mental health, it trumps all. You have been doing great!
ReplyDeleteI am envious of your flowering and budding plants at the beginning of the year. It sets the tone for a great year, doesn't it?
And hugs to you, my faithful blogger friend.
Happy New Year Webb.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to hear 2011 came together for you. You sound at peace and give me inspiration to work my on my "spirt" in 2012. 200 classes that is impressive. Thanks again for all the support you have given my in '11. Wishing you and Mitchell the best.
It sounds like you have both things to be thankful for and some great goals for the new year. 2012 will be great; I can just tell. I always tell my friends I want to learn how to dance like Britney Spears before I get too old. They just roll their eyes and laugh at me.
ReplyDeleteThe green star ornaments are ones that I grew up with. I have a box of 12, now 11, but it still hurt. They're fun to search for and they don't cost a lot of money so they're fun to pick them up when you run into them here a there. A little memento of a day away somewhere, hopefully spent with someone special. You'll remember that every year at Christmas.
Sounds like 2011 was a wonderful year.......especially when you can add regular exercise to the schedule. You are entering 2012 with such a good attitude! Happy New Year. XO
ReplyDeleteWebb, Your post is lovely. It sounds like 2011 brought a little peace. I hope your 2012 finds you content and brings you many things to enjoy. Hugs! Bonnie
ReplyDeleteLovely post. Glad to hear you've had a good year overall. Happy New Year and I hope 2012 is even better.
