We celebrated early with a long weekend in D.C.
A day at the National Museum of Natural History, a second in the National Gallery of Art, and half a day at Mt. Vernon equals a great, but busy weekend.
Good food, an excellent wine and chocolates on my pillow this morning.
Gorgeous orchids at Natural History. Orchids to die for!
Happy Valentine's Day!

I know. If it had not been Valentine's I would have tried to work something out, but know how swamped you were. I hope we will be back in July for tennis, so maybe then....
ReplyDeleteGo to bed! You must be exhausted.
Sounds like a fabulous weekend. I've never been to D.C., but it is on my bucket list. Also, you've inspired me to buy an orchid plant. I've always wanted one. thx
ReplyDeleteWow, so much culture packed into a couple of days, how fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWOW! You all did a lot in a very short period of time! I am so glad you had a lovely Valentine's Day and I just really love orchids. They are a sweet flower. So, I have to say that since I've started watching "Bones" from season 1-season 5 (and there are about 25 episodes per season so this was no small feat), I am longing for DC. Our move to Ft. Lee feels so far away! I may have to come over from KY this summer. I want to spend a little quality time in the city!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I always want to reply back to your comments on my blog, but you have your email address hidden so I can't. :( However, please know that if I'm in town, I will definitely let you know beforehand and thank you for following me over to 400 Wakeups! Now time to get caught up on what's been going on around the garden bench! :)
