... for Valentine's Day.
Another raw, gray day in a string of raw, gray days ... to be followed by at least three more raw, gray days.
Thank goodness for Jane's challenge to bring in some flowers!
Keeping it simple and going with favorites. How can you beat tulips and iris? I can't. It will still be weeks before much life returns to these parts, but what are a good reminder that it will happen.
Hope you will visit Jane and her merry band of flower posters. I'll have a pot of tea on for you, and am sure someone else will have scones, or muffins, or some nice treat.
And, happy Valentine's Day to all. Hope you are with someone special!
I am now officially done with winter. I've been looking at the long term forecast for warmer weather. It has to be there somewhere.
ReplyDeletep.s. Happy Valentine's Day to you too!
DeleteYour arrangement should cheer up anyone. It is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's to you too!
Gray here too, but the sun is emerging--yes! Here's hoping the same for you.

ReplyDeleteSweet simple flowers sure do brighten these winter days, don't they?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful arrangement! I am loving all the tulips in the house this month. I must get some for my house soon!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Webb, this is just perfect. have just returned home from too much time in the cold waiting for buses and freezing in the metro.
ReplyDeleteTulips and iris are the perfect antidote to such a day.
Thank you.
xo J
I haven't seen Iris in ages--perfect with the pink tulips.
ReplyDeleteLadies, thank you all for visiting yesterday. was so swamped at work that i never checked back. glad to see you all. xo
ReplyDeleteTulips are my favourite flower thank you for sharing x
ReplyDeleteThanks for you lovely comment about the orchids. My mother did not grow them, but she would have approved of them since they require so little care. Wish my tulips would poke up their little green shoots. Some things in the garden are starting to show a little green...one tiny little hellebore shoot! Your arrangement makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteSimple ,for me, trumps the complicated. And irises and tulips being far,far in my more temperate past, I'm loving these!
ReplyDeleteWebb...just stunning! Tulips and iris...a wonderful pairing in such pretty colors. Glad you have the tea on...I have a freshly baked sour cream pound cake...the perfect pair! Smiles...Susan
ReplyDeleteWebb, you are right! Beautiful combo!
ReplyDeleteMy Ma was Scottish, so tea is a necessity to me-especially when I lived in states that shivered through winter. I am on a Chai kick now, but any black tea will work.
ReplyDeleteWe can do chai - even chai latte if you are so inclined.
DeleteI love the flowers with all this snow coming down now. I am so ready for spring!
