Mitchell calls this our "primrose path" and indeed, it is. Evening Primrose, aka Oenothera berlandieri 'Siskiyou', that is becoming a bully. I'll enjoy it one more season and then rip a lot of it out so that some other perennials have a chance to take some space.
The ramps have risen!

Hi Webb, love your primrose path and the red barn in the background. Can you transplant the primrose to another spot ? Hope life eases up for you soon. Best wishes for a relaxing weekend :)

I would love to meander down your primrose path toward your lovely red barn. I am hoping to have a little more time once school is out next Friday. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning, and a stunning view, too. Wow.
ReplyDeleteOh, I know that feeling, and I am "retired" :).
ReplyDeletePlease don't pull up those primroses! They are lovely! Oenothera family grows wild here, mostly yellow. How green your place looks!
Enjoy the weekend, hope you get to relax a bit.
Oh my goodness! That's beautiful! I wouldn't mind it being a bully in some bare spots in my garden.
ReplyDeleteI love your cottage garden, primrose path. I could just plop down right now with an iced tea and sit and just breathe it all in.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pathway, maybe leave a few? :) x
ReplyDeleteWebb, that view is utterly charming, my idea of self-seeded perfection!
ReplyDeleteSorry life is frantic for you (know that feeling!), and hope calmer days are on their way soon. I have to keep telling myself, in crazy busy times, shoulders down, breathe slow! That path looks like the perfect place to take a minute to breathe. xxx
