It's a challenge this time of year to get something from the garden.
But the hellebores seldom disappoint.
And, if I am lucky this beauty will be open before the day is out.
Life is good!
Be sure to stop by Jane's house and see who else is home today!
Webb, those are from your garden? You lucky woman. Not a wink from mine.
ReplyDeleteWe just had an amaryllis open in the shop and I was thinking they're even more beautiful when unexpected.
Enjoy, and good job getting those photos posted.

Love the hellebores!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to come around to all the links and see flowers from all over the world. These are some I've never seen before (I live in Arizona, USA) and they are just so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat color palette on those hellebores!
ReplyDeleteNothing blooming outside here, just tiny signs of life here and there, but my phaleanopsis orchid is doing its beautiful thing inside.
Wish I could grow phals! Have tried and tried, but we have unvented gas logs and apparently propane stops the blooms from opening. I can get them to have nice fat buds and then they all fall off.
DeleteSo I need to enjoy yours from afar!
mmm your hellebores look great!
ReplyDeleteI love hellebores - and you've got a good range there! Your garden looks lovely. Have a good week! X
ReplyDeleteI love your hellebores. Those antique dusky plum colours with the chartreuse green - such a beautiful combination. I planted some at the end of last winter so that hopefully this year, I'll have some as beautiful as yours to bring inside!
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to have your hellebores blooming already, they're beautiful. We're back in the deep freeze so nothing is peeking through. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHellebore!!! I see them in the market, but won't be in the garden for a few months. Did you grow those???
ReplyDeleteThey grow like weeds here. My husband's goal is to have the largest collection in Virginia. We may have that already.
DeleteLove, love, love hellebores! I don't have the heart to cut mine. At least not yet!
ReplyDeleteOur hellebores here in NJ are waiting, just biding their time. Do you let them self-seed?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! We must have 100,000 of them. We started with about 20 - 25 bought over a three year period and now they fill a bed that is about 20 feet in diameter. We have a wide variety of colors and "styles". Some of the crosses seem to keep their heads up a little more than others. Am hoping that continues.
DeleteOh, lovely hellebore. Definitely up there in my favourites. I keep staring at my little plant and willing it to flower (in summer). So nice to see yours!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely selection of hellebores!

Wowsers! I love hellerbores, but I have trouble keeping them going in the vase, do you have any tips to share? I am writing about hellebores on Sarah Raven's blog, Garlic and Sapphire later in the week, if you are interested? xx
